Strength:
Very transparent More power than most portables Very flat frequency response (I have no need to use the 6 or so EQ settings, as nice as they are) Most of the common accessories are included Excellent remote
Weakness:
Radio could be better, but probably not without an antenna other than the phone cable Additional 1400 mAh F8 gumstick batteries are not easy to find in the U.S. Having tried a Sony D-NE1, a Pansonic SL-CT710, and a Sony D-EJ2000, I finally gave in to what I'd read about the iRiver. Am I glad I did. The quality of this player's sound leaves me wondering why larger companies can't produce such near-audiophile portable equipment. The build quality and feature set leave me wondering if the Sonys & Panasonics even care about providing quality portable CD players anymore. This is the only portable player that I know of that is a match for my Etymotic ER-4P's. Similar Products Used: Sony D808K, D-EJ368CK, D-NE300, D-EJ2000, D-NE1 Pansonic SL-CT710 |
