Strength:

Excellent sount with outstanding bass. Great skip protection.

Weakness:

Headphones might require some getting used to - maybe.

Excellent sound from this solidly built player. Would have loved a radio but, hey, at this price no beef. Great skip protection - I can't get it to skip no matter how hard I pound on this thing and I work out with it almost every day. Save your $$$ on the SONY trash (they just don't seem to care about this end of the market anymore - sorry guys - but they still make a helluva flat screen TV!

Strength:

No skipping whatsoever, I like the way it sounds, VMSS wasn't that important but it really works well, Bad price but great CD player

Weakness:

Damn, lousy, uncomfortable headphones.

Well, I bought the product while I was spending a winter in Yellowknife, and I loved it. It was great, it never skipped and the buttons on the machien are awesome.

Now.... my headphones on the unit are uncomfortable and really don't have enough base. The wires are starting to fray at the headphones end of the wire, but other than that everything is okay.

Great Cd player, I'll buy another if i need to.

Strength:

Great sound, slim, great headphones, i love the VMSS

Weakness:

price

This CD player is the best i have ever had. The VMSS makes the player because it sounds like your at the concert when you liesten to it. It is great The player never skips and i run 2 miles a day hard. It has never skipped. It is a little pricey but i found for 136.00 at moescow.com. Go to yahoo shopping and search. I would say if this cd player ever breaks i would buy the exact same one no matter what. The headphones do get a little uncomfortable after a while, but they do not bother me much. I would reconmend this cd player over any other one.

Strength:

Good sound quality, VERY durable(see below) well placed controls

Weakness:

VMSS feature, "Flimsy" headphones

I really like this product, it is by far the best portable cd player I have ever owned... I use my "diskman" almost 24 hrs a day literaly... I sleep with it on, I listen to it in school, everywhere... I was biking with it one day, and it fell out of my coat pocket(bad pocket, not player) and while falling, i accidently kicked while pedaling, then it hit the pavement, and i ran it over... I went back to pick it up, and it was perfectly fine except for a few scratches...I love this cd player...BUT...

I hate the VMSS feature. To someone who doesnt know what REAL BASS RESONANCE is, it might be kinda cool, but for me, i just found it distracting and annoying...Also, the headphones were uncomfortable, and seemed "cheap" and "weak" compared to the rest of the player...Other than that, I Love It!!!!!!!!!!

Strength:

Antishock, VMSS, Nice looking, Long playing, Remote features

Weakness:

The headphones are uncomfortable. I would like to have a little more "bass" sound to them. Other earphones should take care of this problem though.

The antishock feature works very well. I like the handle they give you which makes the player fit comfortably in your hand. I am sure I'll have this player for a long time; just wish the headphones weren't so uncomfortable though. The VMSS feature is awesome. I hate not being able to use it all the time. But overall, I am very happy with this model.

Strength:

This thing just rocks!!! The anti shock is amazing because i haven't missed a single beat ever since i bought it. And the VMSS feature is very good when listening to ultimate bass sounds. A very good competitor against portables like Sony and the others.

Weakness:

The only problem i found is how uncomfortable the headphones are. I bought a different pair to have more comfort, but when using a different pair of headphones u lose the VMSS feature.

This CD player is great. I love it and i think i will not get another in a long time. Panasonic has ceratinly outdone themselves and made thier mark on the CD portables market.
Certainly consider this portable when shopping for a new one.

Strength:

Durability, style, features

Weakness:

uncomfortable earphones

For the last 6 yrs. I have owned several sony cd players. I used exclusively sony because the have always been the most durable and have always had the most useful features. I just recently passed on my old discman on to a friend at work, and was in the market for a new one.
I started shopping around, and I notcied the panasonic. I was leary at first because it wasn't my tried and true sony, but I had tried the sony sports model, and didn't like it at all. I was really looking for something with high durability, because I use the player when I ski. The only other model I found that looked like a good player, that would be fun to have was the new sony D-E01, but that had slot in which made me think it wouldn't be good to have around dirt or snow. so i picked up the panasonic for $138, and am really pleased with it.
The player itself is great, small, durable, with all the standard functions (even line out, which the sony sports model doesn't have). the locking mechanism is cool, and the shock protection is great.
The headphones are a bit uncomfortable, but only the part that goes into your ear. I'm going to try some foam covers to see if this helps. The VMSS works a lot better than I thought. and the player reads "burned" cd's just fine (a problem my brother ran into with earlier panasonics)

overall this is a great player, and if you look around the internet you can find it for a steal.

The VMSS function is cool, the headphones vibrate with the music. The drawback is that the headphones aren't very comfortable.I can not belive how good the anti shock is, it hasn't skiped yet and I don't think it ever will. The disign is cool too, and it comes in a variety of colors to fit your stylish needs. The audio is awesome, great bass wich is even better with the VMSS on. And the remote control on the headphones is the icing on an already sweet cake. This is my 3rd portable and I may never need a new one.

Non really.. Possibly battery life?

The VMSS feature is considered a god in some countrys Ive decided. What other company would integrate such a feature? This is the ultimate CD-Player.
