It does skip and it Repeats.

It has a hold button which sometimes gets turn on so you need to turn it off.

This cd player is the best I've ever had at this price! It has repeat, skip, Random, and also repeat as in when it's done with the last song you can make it so that it goes to the first song. I would still have mine if it hadn't been stolen!
