Strength:

Bass is excellent(three levels) Instead of a turning wheel for digital volume control there are buttons. Very inexpensive, and attractive in looks.

Weakness:

Doesnt have a remote. Size a little biger than more expensive models. No pover supply, or embedded charger

This player is very good for it''s money. I enjoy it alot, the bass is great, plus the batteries are long enough for you not to care alot. It is very attractive, and fits in my hand great, and it doesnt skip when i jog. Mostly it is very comfortable, and has good sound, although there is better, for this money....no there isnt.

Strength:

Strong bass, worthy skip-protection system, last of the boxy-shaped Discmans, 25hr. playback time.

Weakness:

Impossible to run with, hard to fit in pocket, NO PAUSE BUTTON!!!, last of the boxy-shaped Discmans.

I originally bought this for my sister for Christmas. Turns out, she wanted one with a radio. This doesn''t have a radio, so I took it. I really didn''t need the thing so I sealed it in a cardboard box, shoved the box in a dusty corner of the storage room and and forgot about the thing. I''d hoped to make the thing into a sort of time capsule, to dig it out ten years later and then laugh at the technology. Well low and behold, a month and a half later, my math tutor needed portable CD player! I ripped the tape off the box, dug through multiple forgotten items and found it at the bottom. But, for the few weeks I used it, I was able to make an opinion. This CD player is extremely basic, supplying no pause button (very irritating), no carrying strap, or AC Adaptor. When your Discman doesn''t have a pause button, it becomes apparent immediately how often you use that button. Bass on the unit is good but distorts easily around volume level 5. Only five playback modes are supplied: Repeat disc, repeat track, shuffle with repeat, single track play, or normal play. There is no custom track programming. The ESPMAX system works well enough and provides good skip protection for walking or soft jogging. Running will make it skip...thus the reason for G-Protection in other models. Overall, if you are a person who doesn''t give a damn about technology and needs something that plays CDs but doesn''t refoam your mocha, this is your CD player. However, if you don''t meet these requirements, look elsewhere.
