Strength:

Cool design, long battery-lifetime

Weakness:

Headphones

I bought the Sony for listening to my CD's on the plane and on the train. The headphones are really BAD! To get the most out of this player you need some quality headphones. I really like the design, but I'm not so fond of the little control unit that sits between the player and the headphones. I can not tell you how the sound compares to other portable players. It's not super compared to a stationary player. I think, if you really like the design - buy it. Otherwise, a less expensive player should do...

Strength:

battery life. Wont skip. Sturdy. Cool looking. Good Remote.

Weakness:

There is no screen on the player and im not sure if you can put the bass up without the remote but im not sure.

very small, feels sturdy. The thing wont skip at all! excellent battery life. Went a way for 10 days with 9 hour + plane rides and i never had to change the batteries. ( i also uses the external thing though)

I used the panasonic no clue old thing. It was good the only thing wrong was i lost it. The case is good but you cant push the bottons on the player with it on. You basically need the remote to use.

Strength:

Long battery life, cool backlit remote control, smallest cd portable on the market, good looking.

Weakness:

Unimpressive sound, weak amp

Let`s make this a short one: Looks great, extra long battery life, great remote.
However, the sound of my 4 years old Panasonic portable is way better and the headphone amp is quite weak (had to put the volume way too high to drive half decent headphones (Sennheiser HD320), ending up with distortion. The Panasonic had no such problem with the same headphones.
I though for the price I was paying for quality sound (and for once a portable who did not have a I`m a post nuclear world artifact kinda look). I guess I was wrong. Price is only for the nice remote and the great battery life. Oh, and there`s also that G-shock thing to make it doesn`t skip (which does seem to work, but didn`t go jogging with it).
So in the end I brought it back to the store and I`m sticking with my old Panasonic for now.
