DESCRIPTION

It's all about the music — but when you see the slim, circular D-EJ985 with its gorgeous silver sheen and aluminum lid, you might forget that for a moment. Don't worry; the 'EJ985's versatile playback options will bring it all back to you, with 10 playback modes (including track bookmarking) and a handy jog lever control.

For low-light listening, the in-line remote includes a backlit LCD that displays CD Text®. Plus, this Walkman's the battery life champ, providing up to an amazing 120 hours of playback with the included rechargeables plus two optional "AA" batteries in the external case!

The included AC adapter and charging stand make it easy to recharge the batteries: just place the player on the stand. G-Protectionâ„¢ helps prevent skipping, and bass boost adds low-frequency emphasis.

Strength:

Digital output, nothing else.

Weakness:

-Terrible Sound Quality -Very flimsy Build Quality -In-Line Remote is a Joke (It worsens already poor sound)

Atrocious bass, terrible overall sound. A very small player housing electronics that are an embarassment to what Sony was producing five years ago. This player produces very muddy bass and jagged sounding treble. Perhaps its only real use would be as a digital source for other Sony recording devices(MD), because it does have a digital out.

Strength:

Design; rechargeable batteries and ultra lightweight.

Weakness:

Poor sound level; poor quality headphones; low-level bass.

I bought this product on the strength of my old five-year-old Sony Discman and Sony’s general reputation. However, this product does not deliver on its primary promise: to produce good sound. Even with the sound limiter set to normal, I could still hear the traffic on a not-too-heavy high road. The quality of the headphones is poor, with distortion occurring on most CDs at full volume. The quality of the sound can only be improved by using larger headphones, as opposed to the in-ear ones supplied. However, with the player’s limited power output, a richer sound is achieved at the expense of volume, which is already so low. All in all, a poor product.
