Bought this for my son for Christmas, wish I had not. It only supports the mtv format for video, and... if you use Linux, you're out of luck.
There are free online format conversion websites... but none of them support the mtv video format.
Even the Tiger mini media players (which have been discontinued) are better, because you can use the free online website "media-convert" to convert any video files to the supported .amv format.
Coby made a huge mistake marketing a device which only supports the mtv video file format and should refund anyone who ever bought one of these, regardless of receipts, they are absolute junk, and were so from the beginning. Just a fancy mp3 player in all reality, especially if you are not a windows user.
