It plays music fine, but it's impossible to organize your music on this thing. When accessing it though Explorer, I can create folders and put music where I want it, but the unit has no idea how to deal with file heirarchy. The name of the top folder is always "new folder" when I look at it on the unit, regardless of what common sense name I gave it when I was typing on the computer.

It will play music. It will play AVI video files. Just be prepared for a lot of frustration if you want to find anything in particular.
