Strength:
Does exactly what I bought it for - portable music source. WOW enhancement for bass support, LCD screen to see battery status, name of track, file number within player and more.
Weakness:
wrist strap carrier could be a bit more secure on the unit itself. would be nice to have arm band or something that lends itself to aggresive mobility (running) more readily than the wrist carrier. ear buds are functional, but in ear devices are much better sounding than hang on the edge. was excited to get this. 256Mb of space and an average file size of 5Mb ~ right at 50 songs. for me works out to over 3 hours of music. controls not as convenient as I would like, but usable none the less. WOW effect for extra bass is nice. Ended up replacing the included battery with a NiMH rechargable and the ear buds with Sony MDR-EX71 in ear buds. huge difference. the player does exactly what it is advertised to do. Quality of materials is good. light weight and fun to have. running, airplanes, even mowing the yard - it's been there for me without missing a beat (litterally & figuratively). Use Roxio to rip and USB to move from PC to the player - drag, drop - done. Similar Products Used: nomad and low end rio - both borrowed from friends. |

Strength:
Reasonable sound, lots of memory, controls ok. SRS/WOW support is nice. Small.
Weakness:
Bad USB driver for XP, only allows about 85% of well-ripped mp3 files. Disappointing file transfer failures are sending this one back to the store. Don't know exactly what is broken but I don't care. Too much money for something that I can't really use. |
