64 MBytes memory, still not many prodcuts that beat this.
Good sound, clear.
Great 3 party software, esp for alt. operating systems

software supplied with unit is buggy (but have alternatives out there)
unit can reset with a small bump with a hard object.
Display not very informative.
No playlist functions

This is a great unit for it's time. THe 64MBytes size still has not been beating by anything that is sub US$400.00

The unit has been reliable, but can reset with a small bump from a hard object (eg keys in the pocket with the rio). What I think is happening is that the battery supply disconnects for a small period of time.

The software supplied with the unit did not work properly. The problems are all related to formatting the memory in the unit (it would nit do it). But fortunately there are alternative programmes out there that can do this for you. The alt. programmes actually add additional functionablity.

The unit is missing a reasonale informative display and some playlist functions. But overall the unit is reliable and functionable.
