My Dali Ikon 2 is my favorite speakers that I own or have listened to that were within a reasonable price range. I have a wide variety of speakers in my home that includes B&W 685 bookshelf speakers that are used on my main living room, Martin Logan Motions that are my home theater system and the Dali Ikon 2s that are my speakers I use for listening to music. For my perception of sound, I consider these to sound nearly identical to the B&W 685, but the highs seem to be just a bit more accurate (ribbon tweeter). If you like ribbon tweeters but enjoy a better dispersion of a non-ribbon tweeter, these speakers are great options for you.

The model year is estimated. I have no idea. I listened to it 2010 in a store. Compared to a model 50% more expensive it was impossible to tell which one was best, but the sound universe was greatly different and I preferred the more cost-firendly Ikon 2 universe.

Now there can be a discount as Mk II is coming up, so you can make a bargain for a good stand/shelf speaker.

Very adequate bass and crisp treble. Lots of 'air' and 'room'. Well worth the money.
