Strength:
The quality of the sound emitted from these units is clear, crisp hi's, and punching solid bass. You have to be careful and aware that the hi"s have a fuse and that can go easily. They are not for doing gigs or shows. They are for enjoying good quality sound and music. Especially the Turntable quality of 33, 45, or 78. A good Onkio, pre'amp with Carver amp (Note: these units are 4ohms each not 8 ohms) Weakness:
The famous emitt tweeter can be destroyed easily. The units do have crossovers and knobs for the tweeter and mid range but if you adjust them then don't touch or use a cross over or adjust the sound quality through the system. You will likely blow out your tweeter in a day. The knobs also get the scratchy sound in them after a while. The foam for the woofer is as with all, it rots. Price Paid: 350.00

This speaker blew my mind when I first heard it. Originally went to look at some dcm kx12's.....the Infinity's destroyed them in every category (even bass). Yes the dcm's would go lower, but they were very distorted and the tweeter was sub par.The infinity's play the lows (down to 45 hz) very well and the highs even better (thanks to the awesome Emit ribbon tweeter). Imaging was fantastic, though they sound much better in a carpeted room vs hardwood. Still they sound very good. Once again. The imaging is awesome. Get a high quality subwoofer to play below 45 hz and you will have a bangin system. |
