Strength:

They do everything right. They may not be the most expensive exotic speakers out there but they seriously kick ass on alot of higher priced, high end speakers.
They image better than most bookshelf speakers because all three of the latest Kappa models have the same tweeter and midrange drivers and cabinet profile dimensions. Seriously, the image is excellent no matter where you sit.
Very dynamic speakers too. From a soft whisper to insane explosions they can handle whatever the source throws at them I wouldn't say they are power hungry but the more the better. I used a Meridian 551 integrated with 60 watts as well as Anthem seperates to the tune of 200 watts. The Anthem opened them up a little more but i think I like the Meridian better for overall sound.
The natural wood veneer, made in Denmark cabinets look awesome.
Bass is all there yet it is tight. I thought they performed as good or better than their bigger brother Kappa 600 because of the tighter bass(8" driver as apposed to 10"). Room placement will determine this anyway.
Sometimes the engineers just get it right regardless of price, synergy, which is the case for this speaker, and believe it or not, even though they market cheap ass speakers large companies that can afford millions in R&D DO get it right alot of the time.

Weakness:

Not sure if this a weakness but maybe they are too short.
A little hard to find a pair that are for sale.
They make it hard to justify a home theatre rig because they image so good, makes you want to spend alot more on pure stereo gear however.
Speaker material won't hold up to cat claws at all!!! jk

These are excellent speakers and at their used price it's ridiculous. Search out the review for the Kappa 600 which is virtually the same except for the bass driver.

The image they project is scary when the lights are down low and it's just you and the music. I was startled right out of the chair because I thought someone was behind or beside me but it was just the music floating around the room and not in a bad way. Not on all material but definitely more than just a few.

Strength:

C.M.M.D. tech drivers Solid sound stange Excellent build quality

Weakness:

None so far.

Over all Excellent sounding speakers! Furniture grade cabinets really show their Denmark craftsmanship. Driver technology does take some time to properly break in. I highly recommend playing some bass heavy music (Jazz in my case) to properly break in the 8" side fireing driver. Excellent imaging even off axis! No coloration what so ever. You hear exactly what the source intends you to hear! Rated from 40Kz-27Khz I really think they hit lower than that, but thats for you to judge. Each Speaker weighs in at 62lbs a piece, so be extra careful when unpacking not to damage the beauties! You won't regret your purchase one bit!

Strength:

Gorgeous cherry cabinet, gorgeous sound.

Weakness:

Do require long break in time. Weight.

Furniture grade cherry wood, these speakers are simply gorgeous. Each one weighs about 70lb. But the furniture grade cabinet is worth it, far sturdier than any othe speakers I have owned. The ceramic drivers do require break in. At first I thought there was no bass. But after 5 days of playing bass heavy material (to the annoyance of my neighbors), the drivers really opened up, with clean authoritative bass slam whenever the music demands it. These speakers also image like crazy, despite their being floorstanders. I swear they image better than my previous bookshelves. Sonically, these are by far the best speakers I have ever owned. I will be keeping them for a long time.
