Strength:
Extremely clear tweeter! Good mid-bass! 5-way binding posts. Handles 125 watts. Video shielded.
Weakness:
None! These things are sweeet. But they're from JBL, so what else would you expect?!? These things are sooooo clear! You also never can leave the sweet-spot. Now all of you that say they're weak on the bass... they're 2-way bookshelf speakers!!!! They're not supposed to have bass!!!! But for mid-bass, they're good... since they have 6" woofers. If you're going to complain about bass... get a sub! Oh, yeah, I also have a Cerwin Vega LW-10, which is AWESOME! It has a 100 watt amp., and I only turn it up less than half way! It also plays deep... good bass test is "korn-dead bodies everywhere." But back to the smoooth JBLs... I haven't gotten the wall-brackets yet, but I am going to soon... right now I have them at just about ear-level and they rock! They also sound good with DVDs. Un-like a lot of speakers, these don't kill your ears after you listen to them for a while either. I highly suggest these speakers to anyone that loves their music nice and clear. I only payed $144 for them (which included shipping!) at www.dynadirect.com I also reccomend this site, they have good prices, and don't try to jip you! Well I definitly give these things a 5... and after a while I will review them again, just to update on the sound... I plan on getting the N24s as surrounds when I get my new receiver... JVC rx8000vbk. Similar Products Used: Sony 3-ways that came with my system. |
