These are better sounding speakers than my B&W DM 602 S2. I love them because the tweeter have excellent details without be harsh. Bass is powerfull and well defined. Match these speakers with good electronic and you will fall in love. ! |

Strength:
The highs are excellent
Weakness:
The speaker covers vibrate at high volume levels.
I have had these speakers for almost 3 years now.I use them with covers off and sitting on well damped stands biwired .These speakers are used in a two channel setup with a very fast sub.In this scenario these bookshelves sound fabulous.Good soundstage, lots of resolution, definition and dynamics. They have a respectable quantity and quality of bass for a bookshelf, delivering an honest 40hz easily. The real-wood veneers are first rate gorgeous. The binding posts are very decent as well, quite beefy.I used to own a pair of B&W CDM 1nt which were about 50% more cost than the silvers. The B&Ws were quite good,no complaints. Are they better than the Silver S2s?I am not sure.Midrange maybe and looks but that would be it.

Strength:
Fit and finish was beautiful. Perfect for Home Theater fronts or rears.
Weakness:
Just didn't cut it as a Stereo Speaker As I have left the realm of HT, and decided I needed HiFi, I gave these speakers a good long demo (and they were already broken in, being demo's). They sounded wonderful when being used within a HT environment, or simply DirecTV...but were too thin when it came to HiFi...very bright, nothing in the middle, and a nice bottom.
