Strength:

Warmth and drive. They project well into a medium size room. Decent 2ch imaging. They also match quite nicely with a sub, which I would recommend.

Weakness:

A bit laid back up high. I haven't fully sorted it out but it would be somewhere around 6.3kHz or higher, it could also be my room configuration.

I got these as part of an HT buildup/upgrade process.

I originally had Polk RM3000's as my mains in a two-channel configuration.

The RTi6's did exactly what I wanted from them. They gave me a more powerful and round prescence in the front stage. I'm running them as my main L/R channels and they have far more punch in the low-midrange than the RM3000's had. They don't have the level of detail above 2kHz that the RM's had but they are more than adeqate for HT use and sound much nicer with dialogue and as well with rock or electronic music.

I have them matched with a Polk CSi3 center and it is an ideal combination.

They are efficient enough that the 65W of my H/K 435 receiver can drive them nicely and the output is a very close match with the center as well.

For critical listening to traditional jazz and classical recordings, I would say these are a bit too laid back. They get the job done but I can't help but feel there is a bit of 'air' missing in the image. This isn't what I intended for them however so I am quite satisfied.

When you factor in the price...they are an even better value.

Strength:

Powerful Sound - Nice fit and finish - looks expensive

Weakness:

None

Just made another purchase from Acoustic Sound Design (acousticsounddesign.com). Thanks for the deal! I now have matched my CSi5, RTi10 and FXi5 with the RTi6. All of these speakers are timber matched and sound great together. The RTi6 sound so good that for 2-channel music you are sure to be impressed.

Strength:

Strong highs and midrange. Loud. Handles a lot of power without distorting like the Boston Acoustics do.

Weakness:

midrange speaker is 6.5", so you can't expect much bass. Buy the sub and you won't be disappointed.

Once again, what can I say but WOW. These bookshelfs sound great. I currently have them set up as my presence speakers, but I'll be buying another pair for the rear channel of my 7.1 system. Great sound from a small package.

Strength:

- Very clear (makes me want to listen more) - look good - not overly bright

Weakness:

none

I own these speakers as well as Polk's RTi8's which are the equivalent tower with two 6.5" drivers. Compared to the Rti8's and other lower priced bookshelfs I have heard these speakers are fantastic. They are very clear, but seem to have a narrow sweet spot. The low end is not overwhelming but doesn't need to be with a bookshelf.

Strength:

Warmth (if you like warm-sounding speakers). Large sound in a small package. Nice-looking in both natural wood and black colors.

Weakness:

Not as efficient (89db) as some speakers.

These are very clean, warm-sounding bookshelf speakers. Sound much larger than they are. Unlike many speakers this size these are bi-wire-capable, which is a nice bonus.
