I'm not entirely sure which model year I have (not sure if they are 1995 or 1996), but nevertheless, if you require speakers for a small to medium-small room, these speakers might do the trick.

Strength:
Very clean and easy to listen to 'Live' sound. Great fit-&-finish.
Weakness:
Needs good matching with other equipment/amp. When I was first interested in the Ara's I looked in the usual places for a review and was surprised at how little review info there is on these. I was interested because I loved Rega's original Ela speaker and these looked to use the same bass driver.

Strength:
Great Detail with a good live sound. Great fit-and-finish. (Real wood baby!)
Weakness:
Not much of a front-to-back sound stage. When I was first interested in the Ara's I looked in the usual places for a review and was surprised at how little review info there is on these.
