Strength:

Quite a punch for a bookshelf speaker...
Nice tight bass plus crisp highs and the price you can't beat.

Weakness:

None whatsoever.

Excellent choice for a rear speakers on a decent receiver.
Works miracles with Paradigm fronts on Yamaha RV-1105 5x80W.
These speakers are quite good as main speakers. The price came as a bit of a surprise.
I'm totally Yamaha now, so far everything I had worked out beyond expectations.
This model is getting hard to find, especially in Canada.
Mine were originally bought in Best Buy store.
Fully satisfied with them I can give them ten out of five all the way.

Strength:

Nice price, bass handling

Weakness:

cheap terminal connections

These are the best sub $100 speakers I've ever heard. They handle deep bass very well. These are perfect for use in a small living room or bedroom as main speakers. The NS6390's are definately not the top of the line bookshelf speaker, but they are definately better than their $100 price tag. If you're looking for a low-priced speaker that just sounds good, then this is it.

Great Value. For 100$ speakers, you can't go wrong

For 100$ this is a great speaker. Perfect for the dorm room or small apartment. Clear sound both quiet and loud. Yamaha makes a good speaker.

Strength:

Excellent response(80hz-17000khz)regardless of price.

Weakness:

No mirror Image on speaker alignment, i wonder what they would sound like properly aligned!

Cut these off at 80hz and add a Subwoofer and they Rock! Couple these with a 100 watt $100.00 Pioneer/Technics Receiver and they blow away all the "High end" Computer Speakers on the market at less than half the price!
I read Marshall Moon's review of these speakers and i remembered reading his review of Acceleration comparisons of the Yugo he compared to the 911 Turbo and Corvette back in 1986. Some people never get it do they?

Strength:

The wide range of sounds, the farther they are apart the better! Like how the speakers look.

Weakness:

could use more bass, but its not a subwoofer so it does not bother me.

Well I haven't bought these yet, but I've done so much testing on them its almost like I do own them. I used to have sony speakers, they were really nice, but the trebble was sharp and when pushed too loudly they din't like it. But everytim i hear these i put the speakers really loud and they seem like they want more. These were spread apart very far and it sounded like there was a center channel, I like that feeling, because you know when you do add a center channel it will be so much better. BUt the first guy who made a review must have a bad reciever, because these, for the price you pay, are awesome. I hate when people compare $100 speakers to like $400+ speakers. But anyways these are great and listen to your ears not bad reviews.

5's all across!!
