These bookspeakers clearly outperformed models from Infinity, Klipsch, and Polk Audio, in terms of clarity and definition. The only exception is the weaker mid to deep bass than the others. They are a steal at their price. |

low price

every single aspect/component of these speakers are total junk you would get better performance for your $100 if you went to the pet store, bought a talking bird, and taught him the words to your favorite songs. |

size I was just browsing the reviews for these products and could not help but write my own. I have the 635's not the 636's but can tell you all the 630 series are all the same. When I came to the areas or weaknesses that were already submitted, I saw that the majority of the complaints were for the bass reproduction. This is a 3-way, 8 inch bookshelf speaker not some 15 inch studio monitors so of course the bass reproduction will not be outstanding. For the cost of $99.00/pr., these speakers are perfectly fine. I feel they have good imaging and sound quality and do not expect them to hit at 20hz. Yes, the cutoff is 90hz, so go and buy a subwoofer. That is what they were created for, sub harmonic frequency reproduction. I've owned mine for at least 5 years and have never had any complaints. As a matter of fact, I own 4 of them. So if you are looking for an inexpensive(not cheap) pair of good quality, small speakers, my recommendation is these(any 630 series). Similar Products Used: none of this size |
