Strength:

Design, build quality, overall dynamics, soundstage

Weakness:

None besides odd shape of cabinet

I recently upgraded from a B&W cc6, to the Nautilus HTM II, and wow! What a difference only $600 makes. I really enjoyed the CC6 for the time that I had it, but the Nautilus center is better in every way. The bass from this speaker is impressive for its size. The soundstage seemed to open up when used with my Nautius 804's. DTS dvds and cds are especially fun with the HTM II. It is a very fast and overall articulate speaker. It took some time to find a good place for the HTM. I tried below my projection tv, and it was very localizeable(?). I kept looking down for the sound. I moved it into the cabinet above the tv, and it seemed more like it was coming from the middle of the screen. Experiment with it. The time you put in finding good placement will be worth it. If your thinking about upgrading your speakers, try the B&W Nautilus line. You'll be glad you did.

This is the center channel speaker for those who aren't willing to compromise on sound quality. In my opinion, it is the best center on the market. The clarity and detail are astounding. Now that I've heard it, it has spoiled me and I could never consider a lesser product.

One note of caution. It takes a very high quality amp to drive this speaker. I tried it with the Yamaha RX-V1 and was very disappointed. It took the B&K avr307 to fully demonstrate the HMT2's capabilities.

My system consists of a B&K avr307 receiver, B&W Nautilus 805s as fronts, the HTM2 front center, B&W SCM1s as rears,
B&W Signature 7s as rear centers, and a Velodyne HGS12 sub.
I also have a Denon DVD3000, and a Sony DD DTV receiver.

Strength:

Detailed, Crisp, and plenty of umpff

Weakness:

None

I could not believe the difference this speaker made for my HT setup. I felt as if I had never had a speaker there before. The HTM2 added a true sense of clarity to the screen. I felt the other speaker I have mumbled in comparison. It pairs well with the N805 (it is one on its side). I would also like to say it has tremendous added bass to my HT system. I have been wanting to add a subwoofer but I won't until the receiver has been replaced. The front channel has a natural presence that was not there before. I have it biwired and placed on top of my Sony WEGA.
Current System:

B&W N805 Fronts Biwired
Yam RV-990 Receiver (to be replaced with pre/pro)
Yam S-700 DVD
Sony WEGA 36XBR200 (no problems like others)

Best center speaker i've ever heard. So detailed and wonderful sound. It's a lot money, but you can't please yourself with a cheaper speaker when you've heard this one.
The bass i really impressive for it's size. If you have the chance, try listening to the concert with the Diva in "Fifth Elemnent"....Woow..

Strength:

Great center! Places the sound perfectly.

Weakness:

For some reason my tweeter doesn't sound right. It could be one of my former roommates messing w/ the amps & hurting the tweet, but unsure.

Perfect center channel. However, I am upgrading to the HTM1 this Sat. Will give a review on that in the following months.

Equipment used -

Onkyo 777 - receiver (use receiver amps for rear)
Marantz MA-500 monoblock amps - for front 3 speakers
MK-150THX sub - Awesome sub! I won't buy any other brand of subs but M&K!
BW 604S2 - Front L & R
Definitive Technology BP6 - rears

Tributaries RCA cables & digital cables & generic 12 ga & 10 ga speakers cables

1st Generation RCA DVD player (5200 I think) - awesome player, low on features, but plays EVERY disc ever put into it. I will keep this one forever.
