I tried the CC1 out for a few weeks, and didn't think the speakers sounded that much better than my TV stereo speakers. I returned them, and bought the CC2 for from netmarket for about what the CC1 cost me at Circuit City. I now understand how important the front center speaker is - the CC2 sound is so much better than the CC1. I'd definitely spring for the extra money. If you need to save money, save on the rear channel, or hold off purchasing a sub-woofer. |

I picked this up at www.netmarket.com for $158 plus shipping (you have to go through their haggle zone to get this price, else it's $179 plus shipping). I think the total with UPS ground shipping was about $178, and it took only a week from the time I place the order to the time it arrived on my doorsteps. |

For the money, this is a very decent speaker. The voices are clear and the treble is pretty sharp. The only problem is that I don't the sound comes out as natural-sounding as it should. Otherwise it's a good buy. |

Have had this for about 3 months now, and it is a solid piece of equipement. It isn't going to blow you away, but it won't harsh out your ears either. |

Just received this speaker an hour ago. I done some restricted listening tests, and it's a winner so far. The main differences of the CC 2 and the CC3 is the tweeter. The CC 2 has the .5" polycarbonate tweeter and the CC 3 has the 1" silk tweeter. The CC 3 also has a midrange level control(I wont use it). I did a review of the RS 2 and explained how these tweeters differ. To say the least, for $100 cheaper than the CC 3, this speaker is an excellent value, and why I bought it. I originally had the Infinity Sterling Series Center channel with the Sterling series rear channel SS 2001s. I recently upgraded to the RS 1. The RS 1 is a revised version of the 2000.2. I originally thought the SS 2001s and RS 2000.1s were quite a like. They're not. The sound is definately smoother, and more defined with Infinity's newer line. The drivers are also different. I thought the plastic speaker mold was just colored different. The complete driver is different. The old sterling series has foam surrounds. The new RS' have rubber surrounds. The new CC 2 and RS 1 are completely different animals. While the Infinitys are have roughly the same voice or tonal characteristics, the newer versions sound different. The drivers are more detailed and cleaner. They are also ported compared to sealed. The newer versions seem more dynamic in ALL frequencies. The SS center channel was different even from the SS 2001s. The sterling Center was a clone of the Video 1 center. This model was a generic model voiced to be similar to most of their RS and other series(not the SM). This speaker was before DD and DTS. While they have a similar voice, the SS Center was distinctively more heavier in the low mids. I believe they had these woofer drivers wired in series. Other brands don't wire in series, and use special electronic components to lessen the bad effects of having a speaker with the drivers in the normal center channel design. Somehow the woofers being so close to themselves and tweeter have ill effects. The CC 2 seems to have corrected this and has a much livelier highend, as the 2001s and RS 1s. The RS 1s, while better than the 2001s, are more similar than the SS Center channel with the CC 2. The CC 2 is now $200 through Crutchfield and is an excellent speaker for the money. The SS Center was $200 normally. The CC 2 was $300 normally. Just reduced for newer models. For $100 more, the CC2 is truly worth it. It also has a treble level control. I doubt I will use this. I have set at 0 to match my Infinity main speakers. My system:___Yamaha RX-V995, Yamaha CDC-675, Sony MDS-JB920, Pioneer DV-414, JVC TD-W318, Kenwood KD-49F turntable with Audio Technica AT92E cartridge, Echostar 4700, Panasonic PV-S9670, Panasonic PV-9451, Sony KV32S45, Sony SB-V40S A/V switcher, Infinity RS 2000.4, Infinity RS 1, Infinity CC2, Velodyne CT-100, Wood Technology speaker stands for rears |

Strength:
Very efficient center channel I am finally satisfied with a center channel. I have tried the Infinty delta, but it didn't sound as good as the CC-2. For the money I paid for this thing, $130 shipped, this is a well worth center. Similar Products Used: Infinity Delta center, Advent 520cc center |

This speaker has a very smooth sound. Gunshots from my DVD copy of Grosse Point Blank ring out as clearly as the dialogue. I am pleasantly surprised since I bought this off the web without an audition. It does look a little strange (and feels very metallic due to its powdered metal finish and metal grill), but its shape makes it easily rotatable. I could live without the speaker matching adjustment (tone control) though. |

Before I ordered this center, I had ordered RS3 and RS1 for Front and Surround. I got CC2 coz I think I don't need much high end from CC3 (silk dome), compared to polycarbonate for CC2. It's $169 + shipping at shop4.com. Another reason is I didn't want to pay $229 for CC3 while I paid only $195 for RS3. how can Center be more expensive than Front? For all RS3, CC2 and RS1, I paid around $500. I think it's a great deal. |

I bought my CC2 from Netmarket for $179. Kind of large and awkward on top of the monitor, but the sound is excellent. Very crisp dialogue. Sounds are definitely clear and precise. Very good value, especially those of us that damaged our hearing listening to rock during the seventies and eighties. I highly recommend this center speaker. |
