Strength:
Great sound. Easy hook-ups. Strong sturdy case.
Weakness:
? Maybe too big for some? Or too loud? Dunno I have not seen one. WoW! I love this speaker. It is not the best I have listened to. But it is the best I have heard that I can afford. I was going to spend around $200 for a Center speaker. And settled for this. I am glad I did not waste the extra $100. This was what I was needing. Similar Products Used: Bose..KLH..Canon |

Good sound/build. Banana plug inputs. Heavy.
Weakness:
Grill Overall a good sounding center channel for the price paid. I think with shipping it was $89. I noticed the first time I hooked it up that it did ''bleed'' my TV. So I moved it back & reset my TV and all was fine. However, now when I slide it up to the edge it doesnt do it anymore. Seeing how it was scratching my entertainment center when I was sliding it back & forth I placed some of those velvet-like sliders underneath- so now when not in use I can slide it back and hide it. Its not the prettiest thing but the build is solid & weighs a ton. (The grill is somewhat flimsy, use caution if trying to remove it) The speaker needs to be as far up front as you can get it. I had it placed a little farther back (8 inches) on the stand and it didnt sound too good. I think the sound was bouncing off the entertainment stand and into the ceiling. Overall a great/inexpensive way to build up your system. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Clear sound.Sounds great perfect above my 27 inch TV.
Weakness:
none Speaker was awesome when watching Matrix. Sound was clear even at low volumes. Gave me a rush during the rooftop scene and helicopter scene. You could here the shells falling, it was as if you were there. Dialogue is clear and blends well with KSB3.1's. Perfect center channel for my system. Bought a pair of Klipsch Quintet for the surround from ubid($57)ea. Awesome sound for price. |

Sounds great, looks great.
Weakness:
Horn can be a little bright. I have the SC1 center which replaced the KSC-C1. No place to reveiw the SC1 so I decided to review it here since the only difference is the grille and a different material for the speaker cones. Similar Products Used: Technics, Pioneer, Paradigm. |

Strength:
Perfect timbre match with the rest of the synergy series. Good price for the quality of speaker. Looks good, sounds great!
Weakness:
Getting hard to find. Not shielded as well as it should be. I started out with Optimus speakers thinking I would get off cheap. They sound fine until you compare it side by side with a good speaker! I brought home the 2.1's to replace my LX5 II's and could not believe the difference! I noticed right away the system was no longer timbre matched. So I had to take back the RS speaker and replace that with a matching Klipsch. The sound now matches between speakers again, and I get much better sound from this setup. My only complaint is that the design of this speaker is not shielded very well for my t.v. set. (JVC 32") I have to set the speaker back about 2.5 inches to stop the color changes on the screen. It looks fine where it sits though, and it will be in an entertainment center soon enough. I "interviewed" a lot of center channels after I brought the optimus home, and I have to say, for the money, ($199 at Vanns.com) It's the best I've found. The dialog is nice and clear, and when my Onkyo 575 stereo is in 5.1 surround for music, it sounds as good as the rest of the speakers. I highly recommend the Klipsch center, but you better be sure to have Klipsch for the rest of your speakers, especially the fronts. (They do have a unique sound!) Strength:
Great Sound from a little package. Smooth response from top to bottom, although the bottom end drops off too fast - sealed enclosure.
Weakness:
Good match for my other Synergy components. But the low end doesn't keep up with the low response of the KSB monitor mains. Excellent center speaker, especially compared to the others in it's class. I recommend it to anyone. I instinctivly wanted to answer the ringing telephone in the 'Matrix'. Wow. To put it as simple as possible - It sounds 'real'. |

I have this speaker between a pair of KG-2's for mains, a KSW-150 sub and a pair of vintage ESS Tempests for rear surrounds. IMHO, this speaker is fantastic. And you can't beat the price at netmarket.com. Rcvr is yamaha RX-V595 with a Pioneer DVL-909 LD/DVD/CD. Highly recommend this center speaker! |

Klipsch.
Weakness:
Its a tad BIG, but looks good. I'll try to keep this short. I bought this speaker after owning a Bose vcs-10 for 2 months. I did a side by side comparison, and all I can say is Bose, schmose. This speaker sounds unbelievable. Makes the Bose sound like its underwater. You just cant go wrong with Klipsch. Similar Products Used: Bose vcs-10 |
