I use this speaker for my center for my surround and it gives realistic voices as well as providing the punch with action movies. I would recomend anybody on a tight budget to take a look at this one.

wow what a difference in sound the dialoge seems to come to life the sound is verry smooth rich detaild sound with outstanding clairty. I would compare this product to the sound of the local theaters.
I think my money was well spent this speaker was worth the money if this speaker had cost $200 i would still buy it.
You get a a $400 sound for only $149 what a deal.

The CC170 speaker from Paradigm was far better than what I had expected. I had originally considered purchasing a center speaker from Polk but changed my mind after hearing about the reviews for the Paradigm speakers. Considering the price, I was skeptic about the quality. When I heard the sound, I was just amazed. I am no expert in this area but considering what I had payed, I definately believe I got what I wanted. The centre speaker carried the sound load that my 2 front shelf speakers carried. Before, I had problems hearing the dialogue in movies, but now the centre balances the excess bass from my 2 front speaker. The sound seems more blended and crisp. This speaker is a must for anyone on a budget. Don't let the price fool you.
