Strength:
Biwire, Biamp capable, clear rich sound, integrates seamlessly with other polk products
Weakness:
I'm sure there are audiophile types out there who could find fault with this loudspeaker, I have not. After six months and four center channel speakers I have what I was looking for. Clear imaging, percise sound. Very nice loudspeaker for the money. It will crank out DVD audio and video on 5.1 channel media and in DPL2 it sounds sweet. It matches seamlessly with my polk RTi70's, as action moves across the soundstage I can't tell where the R or L speaker hands the sound off to the center, but the dialog stays pegged to the screen. My complete set-up is Carver C1000A reciever, Polk RTi70(R,L), Polk FXi50 Bipole/Dipole surrounds, Polk CSi40 center and a Polk CSi30 as my rear center. Similar Products Used: JBL, Infinity, Klipch |

Strength:
Sturdy construction. Weight. Dual "power-ports" for increased bass response. Attractive wood-veneer.
Weakness:
Grille design was changed and is a little bit see-through in some lighting conditions. Beautiful clear full-range sound reproduction. On everything from Classical, to Metal, to Movies, the sound can't be beat in this price range. I went from a Cerwin Vega center to the Polk and would have been happy paying more! The center channel really IS the most important in a home theater setup. Similar Products Used: Polk RT55i mains Velodyne sub Yamaha RX-V1000 Rcvr Polk rears |
