Strength:
Built quality, performance, very natural sounding, power handling, integrates well with decor.
Weakness:
No bi-wiring For being the first I'll have to keep it short and sweet. This C6i is the first replacement of my speaker system that I will make, next will be the main speakers. This center channel is very natural sounding with good timbre. I purchased it in piano black so it looks very sleek and appealing. It has good dispersion and sounds great with dialog. Overall I'm very pleased with its performance, looks and quality. After looking at many other transducers I was auditioning a pair of Wharfedales at a local Audio store and was exposed to PSB Silver I's by the owner and was absolutely floored on the neutrality and response of these towers. They absolutely left an impression on me, I sat there in amazement at their performance and on that alone I put my order in. I waited until the dealer had a C6i blem in piano black available and decided to pick one up. At a 250.00 savings it was worth the wait and I have been very pleased with my decision. I am looking forward to intgrating either the Silver I's or the Gold I's after I audition them as the finishing touch in my Audio/HT system. Friendly advice, Always listen for yourself before you buy anything, your ears will not lie to you. Don't fall into the trap of being sold something, do your homework and know what your buying and most importantly, watch out for snake oil gimmicks they will cost you money and will not give you much in return. A great place to go for information is www.audioholics.com you will get a wealth of knowledge and insight on many questions concerning audio and technology. My system comprises of, Rotel 1066 Pre Processor (great unitfor the money) Sunfire Cinema Grand II (225x5) (will handle 2 to 8 ohm loads with plenty of reserve power) Adcom CFA-2535 2x100 1x200 Yamaha DVD 6280 (Farudja DCDI and Burr-Brown DAC's) Sunfire MkIV True Sub (be carefull with this one, at 1700w things will fall off shelves) Happy listening, Badabbing Similar Products Used: Used: JBL Polk Auditioned: NHT JBL Quad B&W Wharfedale |
