crystal clear highs. Voices sound perfect

lacking in bass

This was the first center channel I've ever purchased. I read the reviews about speakers fairly religiously. Although other people have said this speaker lacks in bass, I didn't really think it'd be too big of a problem. And it's not.
When watching movies, voices are perfect. Everything is much clearer than w/o a center channel. This center keeps up with dialogue even when there's a lot of other things going on. Well worth the money to enhance 5.1 movie watching.
Listening to music is also more enjoyable with the 8c. Like the movies, voices sound phenomenal. Even clearer than coming out of my wharfedale modus 8 mains. And with the bass redirected from the center to the mains or sub, music sounds great.
I'd considered getting the 9c, but now I'm glad I didn't. The 8 is all I need. Sitting on top my 27" tv, it's about as wide as the entire tv.
Very satisfied with this speaker.
