Well-balanced sound from bottom to top. Highs sound great - no screech. Midrange is almost liquid; wonderful to listen to. Bass is there, but not overwhelming. Nice looking speakers. Great grille cloths that are attached via hidden magnets, so no ugly posts if grille cloths are removed. Not ginormous but put out strong, magnificent sound. Best with classical, jazz and light rock. OK with ZZ Top etc., but that's not the speakers' strong point..
