Strength:
Construction very suitable for outdoors. Brackets look to be rock solid and offer the greatest adjustability I have seen. At $200 a pair the price is right.
Weakness:
Very bright. Almost harsh at times. Really require a sub for full range sound. Despite the weaknesses noted, these are an excellant value. I intend on using these speakers outdoors. For indoor applications they are a natural for surround sound, or for main speakers with the use of a subwoofer. At the moment I have them connected with the NHT SW2 subwoofer. They are not as smooth or open as the Super Zeros, but the crossover on the sub is maximized for the NHT's which may account for that. I will add on to this review after a month or two of outdoor use. Similar Products Used: NHT Super Zeros. |

Strength:
great mounting brackets, good sensitivity, good sound, and mostly good value.
Weakness:
None For 2 years I used these as surrounds in a fairly large room, and they were a little lacking in bass for that size of a room, but otherwise sounded great. For the last one year I've been using them as computer speakers, using a 10 wpc integrated tube amp. They are spread about 4 and 1/2 feet apart, eye level, and they sound phenomenol! Excellent! In this small environment, they really excell. I give them 5 stars for value, and 4.5 stars for lack of bass in a big room. Similar Products Used: Bose |

Weakness:
No Bass If you are looking for a set of surround speakers for a low-budget setup, look no further. These speakers are great for the price I payed for them. I found them at a Sears moving sale for a mere $100 bucks! Placement was kind of hard but I managed. The sound quality is better then any surround speaker I have owned. The bass is lacking but it only has a 5 1/4" mid/bass driver so it is expected. The speakers have a great high freq. response and the midrange isn't bad. A bracket is included and provides many placement options. Overall I give it 4 stars for lack of bass. And 5 in value. Similar Products Used: Sony Surrounds(Sucked),JBL NR-24 |
