Strength:
I just got these about 3 months ago. These are the Stature S-50's. Best thing i ever bought, beat other speakers i auditioned, even my uncles Mirage M-5si's with the same amplifier used. the mirages weren't that clear due to the bipolar design, but the soundstage was huge. These babies go way deep, deeper than my sub. And another plus is that you don't even need a sub for music, but for movies it would depend on taste.
Weakness:
Hope i don't find any in the future. Best purchase i evermade. I see these at www.crutchfield.com for $799 us, even though that's retail price, they can be had for $445 at www.wholesaleproducts.com. Go and buy these, even if you already have good speakers. These things will most likely blow speakers away in the $1000-1500 price range. And these these look sweet, just a little under 4 feet tall and very thin. Similar Products Used: Too many to list |

Strength:
It's got everything you want, including the AR badge
Weakness:
none (seriously) In all honesty, the S-50s are the best speakers I have ever heard. And I'm the type of guy who goes into every A/V store to test things out (without ever buying them of course). For about 2 months, I've researched a lot of $500-1500 range speakers, including polks, infinitys, jbls, energys, paradigm, etc., and these came up on top. They go super low (26hz, lower than my sub) with clean, tight bass both in music and HT, while hitting the highs crisp and clean. Real sensitive too (91db). Strength:
These are the best, clearly much better than my previous AR-318PS. I have these hooked up to my computer, amazing system. The low-end goes deeper than most subs.
Weakness:
hahahahahahaha, i don't think so. Not in this lifetime. The best speakers for the money. They look awesome and much more expensive than what they cost, and lets not forget the sound, the best out of 500 bucks, or even triple that. AR is back with a vengeance. Strength:
Awesome low-end extention, sensitive
Weakness:
soundstaging I will NOT compare to my previous ESL 57's. It outperformed the Tannoys by far both in extention and detail. It looks very smart especially with grilles off and can take anything you throw at it. Can sound tinny at high volume and I struggle to get a pinpoint image in the centre although I do compare this with the ESL as reference. Similar Products Used: Tannoy M5/Quad ESL |
