Since I'm not a lottery winner, I've been using the CS300 speakers (30w per channel, miniscule tweeter and woofer) with an Onkyo Prologic receiver (40w rear channel). Since I went digital (100w to rear channel) I wanted to replace the CS300's. Saw this in Costco, bought them and am not disappointed. VERY NOTICEABLE improvement (depth of sound, clarity, frequency response, "heavier"). For 50 bucks--cannot be beat.
The speakers do come with two speaker inputs--one for main (I guess for using as outdoor speakers) and one for surround. I first hooked up as surround but the volume seemed to be low--I then moved to the main inputs and saw a difference in volume so that's the way I kept them. OUTSTANDING VALUE!

Have to use brackets because shape of units make them otherwise unstable. Made in China.

They are actually spelled MARBYL. I use them in my small office with an 80's Carver 135/WPC receiver. I was pleasantly suprised by their full range (for the size and money). I purchased them at COSTCO for $50.00/pr. COSTCO has an excellent 3 year return policy as long as you save the box and receipt.

What can you say, for $50.00, you get more than what you pay for...plus. Excellent construction and bracket strenght. Great sound for the average "Joe", if have have cheap friends that come over, and don't bring any beer. I can't wait to see how they will perform under heavy weather conditions. Overall, I am quite pleased with the sound. GREAT BUY.
