Strength:

Deep, smooth bass, perfect mids. Very, very musical.

Incredible speaker. Prepare to be swept away in the music. Forget evaluating the soundstage, etc because you will keep being pulled into the music. Mine are black in a dark room and they literally and figuratively disappear. They handle full orchestral music to solo jazz with equal competence. I'm driving with a ML 335 but I think they will also work well with any high current high power amp.

Strength:

Clean and articulate bass. Amazing dynamics. Smooth midrange and crystal clear highs.

Weakness:

none

Perfect with the BAT VK-30/VK-200. 100W into 8 or 200 into 4 ohms which the 10Ts are is fine. The BAT doesn't run out and the 10Ts hum right along.

Michael Kelly of Aerial is an incredible gentleman. Ever talk with him? He's always willing to help. He's right up there as far as dedication and class.

These speakers are dimensional like nobody's business. You wouldn't believe the soundstage. Chorus and background vocals are spooky real. You can make out individual voices, including where they're standing. I bet the BAT electronics have a lot to do with helping make this happen too.

I once thought the bass was a little heavy, then I unloaded my old amp, tried a Krell, then the BAT. Audio Magic cables. The heaviness vanished. All I was left with was rich texture, great depth, and incredible pace.

You ought to hear the pluck of the standup bass. Violin gives you the wood of the instrument. I can hear bow rosin.

The fit and finish is world class. Mine are rosewood - gorgeous. When visitors look, their eyes pop. They're also rock solid. Rap your knuckles on the novalith heads or the base cabinet and you have broken knuckles.

Oh, I also added the sand filled stands and spikes, and the sound is even more clean and taut. It makes the sound more dimensional too as it changes the listening position relative to the listener's head. I liked the result.

These speakers are mine for life. What else can I say - they're simply amazing.

Strength:

Audio Nirvana. Delightful clear, rich sound.
Rotatable Novalith heads allow easy, precise adjustment. Excellent build quality

Weakness:

Weak fasteners on bass grille (Aerial replaced at no cost). Need plenty of good clean power.

Stunning, crystal clear sound. Tight, liquid bass. My cats stare at them as if something is going to fly out of them.

Sound is not harsh or dry, can listen for hours without fatigue.

Sounds wonderful even at whisper-quiet listening levels.

Note: these Aerials are "first generation" with older tweeter system and different networks. I have been told that the latest generation Aerials sound even better (I have difficulty imagining this).

Getting the sound just right has been a quest, finding suitable components and good placement. Associated equipment:

Sound Anchor stands

Musical Fidelity A3CR Preamp, NuVista 300 Amp / NuVista silver interconnects

Sony SCD-777

Linn Axis TT / Sumiko BPS pickup

Analysis Plus Oval 9 speaker wire (Biwire)

Placement: About 3 feet from wall, toward center of room
