I've heard the 270 home theater system by AT and wondered how the 250.1 compared to it. Have any of the owners of the 250.1 listened to the 270 system at a dealer and comnpared it to what they have at home. I would appreciate an honest comparison. |

Awesome speakers. Hooked them them to a Yamaha RX-V995, and the sound isoutstanding. Bought them at onecall.com for $932 plus shipping. I think soundcity.com is also a fairly competitive dealer. |

i have had the 250.1 for about 18/24 mths now. they are the first home theater speakers i have purchased. about 9 mths after purchase, the 4" driver blew. sent it back to a/tech., six weeks later i recieved my repaired speaker (front left). this past november, you know the right front speaker??, guess what.... yep, the good ol 4" driver blew. i called the company and said, what is goin on!!. of coarse they accussed me of abuse. i DO NOT play them loud at all. i believe they where defective. overall iam happy with them and glad, at the time still under warrany.........for your info. |

Just got my System 250.1 last week. I was ready to purchase the BOSE Acoustimass 15 system but heard too many bad things from retailers and users to actually go through with the purchase. I got turned on to the System 250.1 by the reviews on this site and had to check it out. Needless to say I was quite impressed and made my purchase through Onecall.com. I picked up the system for $1100 delivered, but again, I am very happy with its performance. I have hooked up my Yamaha RX-795 receiver and Pioneer DVD-414 and the movie performance is tremendous. I am quite satisfied with the music performance as well. All in all, in my opinion, this is a great and very versatile Home Theatre System. For the money, I don't think there are too many systems that cancompete. Unfortunately, the System 250.1 is being replaced by the new more expensive System 270. While there are bound to be a few improvements in the System 270, my recommendation would be to buy the System 250.1 and save yourself a few hundred dollars, that is, if you can still find it! |
