Strength:

Best sound for both: music and movies good balance makes music very real

Weakness:

are you kidding? none

I bought Audes Cinema III line 2 months ago. First i tought that in this prize, they are ok but after connecting them to my system, it became my system. I started with music first, these speakers know where to put the sound and instruments and with high perfomance. The vocals are dramaticaly real and bass stays in its tempo and goes very deep. Iam amazed how they put the sound where it belongs and when talking about moving in sound, speakers will send you there, as you where really there listening the song in studio or concert hall. Movies become real and i mean REALLY REAL!Iam using Customhousecables for main speakers and its crystal perfect.

Strength:

Great Styling, Solid Build, Clarity, Bass, Control

I posted a pretty harsh critique of the 025s a couple of months back. While my overall review of the particular product I bought online (025s) remain negative, after having purchased Audes flagship tower speakers (Blues), I realize that my overall critique of the entire Audes line up was unfair.

I purchased my 025s from Ubid.com which had aweful customer service and had apparently sold me defective product. Because Ubid.com would not stand behind its sale, Audes USA stepped in and agreed to not help me recoup my losses, but also make me a believer in its products.

I purchased the Audes Blues speakers and listened to the speakers with a critical ear. I had been displeased with 025s and I was in the mindset to find anything wrong with the Blues. To my surprise, the Audes far exceeded my expectations. First of all, the Blue has the best styling I have ever seen. They are tall and slim with a black sheen, with side mount in beautifully hand crafted red wood. I felt embarrassed because the craftsmanship on these speakers is nicer than any piece of furniture I have in my house.

What was more compelling was the sound quality. I didn't think that speakers so thin could create so much bass! Most compelling is its ability to recreate human voices. These speakers make artists sound like they are in the room 5 feet away. I also noticed that instrument reproduction was equally compelling. Every pluck of a guitar string was poingant and distinct.

I tried various kinds of music from classical to jazz to R&B. The speakers seemed to understand how to capture the appropriate emotions of each track.

Many of my friends have purchased speakers at price points which are multiples at the retail price on these speakers ($1,000 a pair). They do not look or perform nearly as well.

Strength:

Beautiful Craftsmanship, Great Vocals and Strings, Check out the massive rear connectors.

Weakness:

None significant

My home theater speaker setup includes the Blues for my mains, Audes Studio Monitors for surrounds, the Audes Central for the center and a Monitor Audio ASW110 sub. Great matchup.

The Audes Blues simply look great and sound great - just as the first reviewer here said. The product is very well made - nice wood, heavy connectors, no visible seams. I am told that these Audes speakers were designed by engineers that used to design parts for the Mig fighter - I don't know if that is true but a fine Estonian engineering effort went into this speaker.

I noticed its clear vocals and its ability to reproduce strings the very first time I heard them. Its bass, which is plentiful for a slim line speaker, comes from a sidefiring 8" woofer in a cabinet that weighs in at over 70 lbs.

I was sold on the Monitor Silver 9s until these speakers hit my local shop. The salesman made a special call to me to audition them - for the same price point a much better overall product. For a while, the Blues resided in the high end room at that audio shop where speakers are usually much more expensive. A must audition.

Strength:

everything + really incredible dynamics

Weakness:

at this price nothing at all

These speakers soung great even with my modest NAD 314/NAD 512 amp/cd combo. I'd call them affordable hi-end. I wonder what they may sound like when I partner them with the better electronics.
If you like very smooth frequency response and opened, spacious sound, look no further.
