Strength:
everything for the price, looks.:)
Weakness:
for music there should have been "tighter" bass reproduction, at least for high volumes For the price almost nothing beats them. For home cinema the subs are excellent and go really low for 10", should have adjustable freq for the sub for easier installation, especially for music listening. Got blue in front, black in the back and black vector as center and the sound is awesome in movies, and last but not least, they look very good(at least I think they look stunning. Strength:
Neutrality, details, very deep and tight bass, clarity, overall soundstage. Easy to place since you can adjust the basslevel individually on each speaker.
Weakness:
Heavy almost 30 kg/each I have spent almost 6 months searching for a speaker that would suit me (up to $3000)and when I found these I couldn´t resist them. And for a pricelevel that is rather low, 12 000 Skr (appr. $1300), for, as I think, a high performance speaker. Strength:
Clarity and freq.dynamic. Works for everything, a real allrounder. Looks. Blue great looking lead at the front indicating sub power on.
Weakness:
Heavy (perforating my floor with the spikes). The neightbours complain. Standard signalcables for the sub is low-quality. Slight impresise bass from the sub at extreme volume levels. I have these set up in a home-cinema setup with Black Diamond as rear speakers and the Black Vector as the center, and it is really an awesome setup. The clarity of the speakers reproduces the sound perfectly, and combined with the 10" subwoofer integrated in each of the Blue Diamonds makes the soundimage complete. The bass makes the room move and one can physically feel it. All from Jurassic Park to Titanic to classic to techno, the Blue Diamond is a real killer when it comes to both stereo and home cinema. |

Strength:
Low, deep, well-defined bass, crystal clear mids and correct highs that are not too harsh.
Weakness:
None This pair of speakers is just absolutely unbeatable for such a price! You want clear, balanced, easy-on-the-ear yet truly full-range sound when you listen to your highest quality CDs? Look not further. Oh, you don't give a damn about high-end listening pleasure, but you are interested in home theatre set-ups only? Again: these are your speakers, mate! I have extensively listened to a huge range of speakers, including ProAcs, B&Ws, Tannoys, Missions etc., but I was simply not prepared for the pure pleasure that the Blue Diamonds were giving me. Initial disbelief (how can speakers that are so cheap deliver such a rich and deep sound stage??) changed quickly into acceptance. I coupled the boxes with a Pathos Classic One hybrid amplifier and an Electrocompaniet EMC1 CD player. What a combi here! Similar Products Used: ProAc Studio, other ProAc speakers, B&W speakers |
