Great overall sound Im surprised to find out that so many other people have purchased these speakers in the same way i did (off the back of a van). I dont understand why its a scam, the ones i got look and sound AWESOME. They sound better than my old pair of speakers and i paid twice as much for those. if anyone paid less than me more power to them, But im extreamly satisfied with the speakers and the price . |

Strength:
nice imaging, not an incredibly deep sound stage though
Weakness:
treble real harsh i've bought these speakers outside of a circut city, they did the whole my boss gave us the wrong amount and he wont ever know their gone trick. They said they were worth 2000 for the pair, so i thought i was getting a good deal, and since i had 400 on me, i said why not. If you listen to these speakers thinking they're 2000, they sound bad, but when you compare them to other speakers costing them same, from a legitimate store, they're quite all right. Vocals sound kind of harsh. Other than that i find them quite all right. I'm not a serious audiophile though, nor have i heard lots of live music, so i can't really commit on how tounally accurate they are. After there months of messing around I found they sounded best about three feet away from the wall and 6 feet apart, i tilted them in slightly to. I sit about 7 feet away from the speakers. The imaging is suprisingly good. Compared to my old Pioneer speakers i like them more. With my 20 watt per channel nad amp, they can get quite loud (My rooms about 12 by 18 feet though). Strength:
Good sound for the regular home theatre system.
Weakness:
People dont like getting (SCAMMED) but you have to talk these guys down and dont be pressed by the I have to go quick line. These speakers have been listed as the SCAM speakers. I can say that they have a above average sound. DO NOT pay more than around $150 for them. You can't go to any store and get these style speakers for any less. |

Strength:
dynamic, image, soundstage, clarity, warm...provided good recording musics. the instruments are very true, especially the acoustic guitar, harp, piano, horn..ect...But the electric intruments sound warm and no-fatige when they flare. The size is good, weight about 80lbs each.
Weakness:
none I was looking into buying the Northcreek speaker kit because I see lots of 5 about their products..well, I didn't have a thousand to spare. Then someone stopped at the traffic light said "Hey, you want to buy some speakers, they're brand new, blah, blah, blah...". I did pulled over and see what they have to offer, then I open the grill and check the driver, mid, and trebe thingy, cabinet look good, connectors on back look high quality, the box printed 30-350 watts handle power, suggested retail price $1599.oo each, and other spec stuffs. So they wanted 800, I said 300, they said 600, I said thank you, bye...anh they sold it. Thought I got screw in the drive-thru (or drive-by). This speakers look like the one in the picture here, but It says: Digital Audio 2002-AD3810SL, high quality-professional speaker. Right away I realize how awesome the music sound compares to the Bose 301 bookshelf, acoustic-mass 5, (Bose have no mid driver so it lack that mid sound completely)...Oh yeah!!! the music really fill the house now even at low volumn, but with clarity and dynamic, sounds are not overlapped, the bass is tight or rolling out depends, the midrange is where most of the voice come out now, now the treble speaker, it sounds warm, tantilating, and rocking...I truely love these speaker, and the best part is I pay 300 for them. Similar Products Used: none but listen to friends' sansui, advent, klipsh, boston acoustic, polk audio, bose, yamaha, teac (old one)...ect... |

Strength:
Great reproduction, beautiful bass depth, and stunning crispness of the treble.
Weakness:
Heavy, although, unlike what other people say, mine are wood. Wood is heavy for a 4 foot speaker. Or so I hear. Well, even though I gave into the insistencies of the salesman, and the bad feeling I had while I was driving home, I will not give up my pair of Audiofiles for anything. I think the harshness of people being angry, and pissed off, about beeing closedby someone in a van is just a normal defense mechanism. (They are just doing there job. I was a kirby dealer, it is a hard job being a salesman). I love my speakers, even though I went through the text book scam. My speakers are very real though, the quality is real, and the sound is very real. I am a commercial music major, and music is a way of life for me. I love the crispness of acoustic guitar, the deep bass and electricity in Rock, and the high reach and energy of Dance music. My audiofiles give it to me. I didnt buy them because they were going to get me sexual favors, I bought them because of the salesman, and kept them because of the quality reproduction of the music. Personally I wouldnt care if they were made of cardboard or some state of the art metal and wood guaranteed to perform magical quality and music clarity, all I care about is the music, and I dont care of the material, or some fancy crap inside them. All I care about is the way the speakers sound to me. I am happy with these speakers, and although I am not telling anyone that they should buy them because of me, dont disclude them because a pushy guy is selling out of his van. I hear you can buy them from audio places also, and have seen audiofile products at several audio stores. For comparison, I also have a pair of Linn Nexus''s and Index''s with the Ku-Stone stands, and think they all sound beautiful, but very similar, if not close to the same. If you want a great speaker try them out. Similar Products Used: Linn Nexus''s, Linn Index''s |

Strength:
Beautiful recreation of music. Great treble, and great bass depth
Weakness:
They are fairly heavy. I must sadly say that I too was a victim of a parking lot speaker salesman. I felt bad the second I purchased them. Now don''t get me wrong, though, I was impressed when I got them home. I love the deep sound that they recreate, especially for acoustic music. I may have bought them from a guy from a suburban but I don''t think that I was scammed, ripped off, or conned out of my money. Even if there book value isnt worth 1290, there worth that to me. Personally I will look for another pair. I don''t care what they are made of or what they are designed like, all I care about is the music and how they recreate the music. Of course, remember music is an opinion, and so is quality. I have a pair of Linn Index''s and think they sound just as good Similar Products Used: Linn Index''s, and Linn Nexus''s |
