B&W 802III is an average performment speakers at that price, but hard to drive it well. I use PS Lsmbda Transport --> Tara Lab Decade balance --> Wadia 26 DA--> Tara Lab Decade RCA --> ARC LS7 --> Van Dul Second RCA --> Arogon 4004 --> MIT750 BIWIRE --> B&W 802III. |

I have been using a pair of Adcom 555's to drive my B & W 802 - II, for the past six years and find the added power is exactly what the 802's need to achieve near audio perfection. I recently added an B & W MTH center speaker to convert to theatre surround. If I had another set of 802's for the rear, I would truly THE PERFECT SURROUND SYSTEM. |

I recently cashed in my dissability check for a new pair of speakers, since I have been listening to a pair of 18 year old pair of JBL L-86 studio monitors.I first took my CD of Stanley Clarke's East River Drive, to audition a pair of 802's just for a higher than affordable starting point. They were INCREDABLE, for all the reasons you've alredy heard. Of course I could'nt close to them with a dissability check. Solution....the new B&W P-6's. I had them A/B them, and the difference was non-existent!!!!!They had a price tag at $1800/pair, with some work you can get them down. They are a ***** for me. |
