I purchased a pair of these, new, from Parts Express to use for my daughter's wedding, pairing the speakers with a Lepai LP7498E amplifier. I purchased them mostly to be *loud for a crowd* but they turned out to make sound that I found beautiful. I'm not an audiophile, but I am a music lover, and these speakers took me from liking to have music on in the background while I did other things, to just sitting to listen, immersing myself in the sound.

I've heard better speakers, but not for the price. Shipped to my door I think I paid $240 for the pair. (As of this writing, this site is listing the MSRP at $99.99, and I think that would be really hard to find.)

The downside is that I've felt compelled to re-purchase some music that I already owned. The clarity from these speakers revealed some flaws that I'd never noticed before.

For the price, highly recommended.
