Versatility

I bought my BeoLab 4000 after having had some quite large and ugly speakers. Thus I may be rather critical sound wise.

These speakers are the coolest looking wall/shelf speakers you can by for money - although quite a lot of them!

I think they sound great for - by far the - most kinds of music, but they have trouble handling very "rich" music, i.e. if the music is loud and with lots of instruments.
But i can accept that they are quite small after all.

Built-in multi room feature. Striaght forward operation.

With my previous system most of the time was spent moving levers, pressing buttons and turning knobs. Everything but listening to music. Now, the operation is so simple and striaght forward, music is all i get to listen and it offers a wonderful view. Since the multi room function is buit in, moving around the house is just as exciting.
