Strength:
Crisp, clear, high definition sound. Sleek design.
Weakness:
None so far. These speakers definitely don't provide earth-moving bass, specially compared with Cerwin-Vega at 4ohms. However, with a sub, you can't go wrong. They offer clarity and definition unrivaled in many higher priced speakers. Similar Products Used: Cerwin-Vega |

Strength:
Incredible soundstage, outstanding vocals, and extremely crisp bass when using an amplifier which can provide enough power to these speakers.
Weakness:
Bass can be weak if not pushing enough power to them, otherwise there are no faults. These speakers absolutely blew my mind when listening to them in the store. My first inclination was to purchase the VR975's. But, just to make sure I was getting the best for my money, I decided to check out the VR965's. To my surprise the bass was just as clean and sounded extremely crisp. SO, I decided to check out the 950's (only difference is there is no powered sub), and I was absolutely blown away. These speakers put off beautiful sound on every type of music we fed to them. Started off with some heavy jazz, then moved on to hardcore women vocals, some rock and a little hip hop and these speakers out performed all the above mentioned similar products. The only thing I would suggest when running these speakers in a setup is to add a sub. While these 950's put off incredible sound, if you want some deep, hard-hitting bass you'll have to add a separate sub, but otherwise these speakers cannot be beat for the price.
