Strength:
Tonality, Imaging on great sound stage, accuracy even in complex passages, able to convey transient responses such as percussion rim shots and brass stacatto, flexible placement satisfies near field or mid-field listening, very appealing to the eyes. Great for jazz, new age, orchestral, pop, intimate three four piece instrumentals, voices. The cross overs feature premium parts normally reserved for only very high end drivers. These loud speakers also excel in home theater use, portraying explosions and loud transients with ease. I'm using mine in a dual mono set-up and 100 watts per channel conservative output. I purchased mine from GR Research on a close out price. Weakness:
These loudspeakers have an 8" passive radiator (on the rear) to supplement the bass region. This works best with near wall placement. Even with this placement, the bass region will probably be lacking if Rock and Roll bass-heavy music is your preference. Even then, one could add one or more subwoofers to achieve the extension and decibels desired. Price Paid: 1,000.00

I'm just a guy who loves music. I found these on line and took a chance. Glad I did, easily the best speakers I've heard. Toe them in a bit and sounds like you are in the studio. Very soft and realistic. I have NAD separates and a bunch of CDs. With better power I would imagine the speakers would really come to life. Overall very satisfied! |
