Strength:
Great highs, mids I had these as my mains until I purchased a pair of B&W 604. These are great speakers and now they serve me as my rear channels for my yamaha rv-2095 to drive. Does not come close to the B&Ws but are excellent as rears!! |

Strength:
Sound is great and clear. Bass will come very good if you give about +2dB amplification to it. These speakers are very easy to drive.
Weakness:
Highs are little bit too loud. Chorus AW-10 are better but they can't compare to Celestion 7mk2 because the speakers are very different structure. I drive these Celestion 7 mk2 speakers with H/K avr10 amplifier. And it can drive these speakeakers very easy. Similar Products Used: Heco spirit100, Chorus AW-10 HQi. |

These speakers are no longer made but i figured I'd post in case someone runs across a pair for sale. Really outstanding sound for the money. Clean and sweet treble with a very open and natural midrange. The midrange competes with speakers costing hundreds more. Bass is tight and has good presence and drive, though bass heads will probably want more. Not much below 45hz or so. These speakers really benefit from careful placement close to but not right up against a wall. Very sensitive and easy to drive. A good match with a better quality high current amp like a NAD or HK. Five star rating considers value compared with others in its class. |

Strength:
Easy to drive, Detail.
Weakness:
Harsh at higher volumes (with my setup at least). Slightly light bass. These are generally good speakers which project detail of most styles of music very well. Their treble has been regarded as "bright" in some reviews and when linked to an enthusiastic amp which my Kenwood KA3020 SE certainly is, it can lead to some harshness at higher volumes. The bass is quite light considering the cabinets have a fairly large (27 litres) internal volume but generally it is tight and well controlled. They have served me well since 1994 and probably will for another few years yet. |
