Bought a pair from 2001AUDIO in Toronto about $590.00 I believe and scored another pair of EBAY reasonably cheap. The 4 of them "stacked" pairs in parallel with my ATI 1502 and an OTL tube preamp SOUND PRETTY AMAZING. These newer generation CV's are not boomy or do they have sharp fatiguing highs. Great for JAZZ, BLUES OR CLASSICAL music. Have owned a LOT of equipment in the last 45 years of being an audio buff. These are an inexpensive path to good sound at quite high volume if required. Got rid of a home theater system, because my TV and DVD 2 channel sound is incredible through these. Not a bright or boomy - thumpy sound, but rather a more refined, laid back sound - great for vocals, piano, guitar, bass viol, organ - whatever you throw at them. Just listen to the music - forget the technology, company name or the electonics.
