Strength:

Very musical. Very Transparent. Sound is lively.

Weakness:

Not the last word in resolution. Will need a sub to get the lower frequencies.

Very good speaker. I have had them for about a year and a half and have been very pleased with the sound. Very transparent sound with good detail. Excellent at imaging with good sound stage depth. Has a warm sound. The music seems more alive with these speakers. It's going to be difficult when it comes time to upgrade, finding a speaker that exceeds its qualities (excluding low bass) for a reasonable price, <$3K. A sub is required to get the slam desired when in the mood to crank it up. Handles a lot of power when crossed over to the sub (plays loud). Attribute this to quality drivers.
Figure an easy 150 hours for break in.
If you are considering the Spendor 5se, Monitor Audio RS6 or a similar speaker take a listen to the Dalis.

Bottom line: This is a very good speaker for a $1000.

Gear:
B&K Ref 50 preamp
B&K 7250 5 ch amp
M&K MX-200 and Outlaw LFM-2 subs
Sony cd/dvd player (need an upgrade here)
Project Xpression turntable with project preamp
Tara labs interconnects and speaker wire

Paradigm Studio 60s V.2. Good speaker, more bass than the Dali but can be bright.
