Strength:
Imaging, Strong Bass, Clarity, Definition, Unique Design
Weakness:
Loose Bass, Nonremovable "sock" covering I picked these up because I felt they would fit in more aesthetically in my music room than my Klipsch Heresy IIs. I was impressed with the sound when I listened to them at the pawnshop. I was even more impressed when I hooked them up at home. I always felt the biggest drawback to my Heresy IIs was their not so great imaging unless you were seated in a very small "sweet spot" directly in front of the speakers. The TF-600s make nearly the entire room the "sweet spot" - very nice! However, what I gained in imaging, I lost a little in tight bass response. The bass in the TF-600s is stronger, but looser than in the Klipsch speakers. Then again, The DCMs are ported (bass reflex) and the Heresy IIs are a acoustic suspension (sealed cabinet) design, so the looser bass is not surprising. Overall I couldn't be happier with these speakers - especially for the price I paid. They'll handle everything my system has an not even strain in the slightest. These are great speakers. I highly recommend picking them up if you ever run across a pair. You won't be disappointed. Similar Products Used: Klipsch Heresy II Speakers |

Strength:
Absolutely uncolored sound. Incredible bass, great midrange and highs
Weakness:
none These speakers are the first I've ever been satisfied with. Had them about 4 years, and They're the only part of my home theater system that has not been replaced this year. I'm using a Yamaha RX-V995 receiver, and it's a perfect match. If you can get your hands on a pair of these, you won't regret it. You'd have to spend 5 times as much to duplicate the sound quality. |

Strength:
Soundstage, imaging. No other speaker can reproduce a sounstage like these! Simply close you eyes and point to the instruments playing before you!
Weakness:
If you're a bass hog--plan on adding a subwoofer. Incredible bass, though, for a 6.5" bass speaker. I bought these 9 years ago after auditioning every high end consumer speaker on the market ( I had to have auditioned 100 systems). These are not the loudest speakers on the market, but they easily handle a high end 200Watt amp. If you buy these, you will buy these fortheir imaging. 1 6.5" mid bass, 1 6.5" bass with centered forward firing tweeter. Two rear firing tweeters and a very effective transmission line enclosure that puts out beautifully smooth bass. The highlight of my day is to come home, turn on my sytem, shut my eyes, and picture EXACTLY where each instrument is on the soundstage. Clear, detailed--a real sleeper--most have never heard of DCM, and unfortunately, they do not sell these speakers anymore. I can only hope that mine will live as long as I.
