Great speaker! Please people don't think a TFv6.0 is a TF600! They are to different models and years made. The TF600 was made in 1992/1993 and the TFv6.0's where made in 1996/1997. The grill cloth is not hard too come off the TFv line of speakers just unscrew the 4 screws on the bottom gloss cap and pull the cap off, then pull the cloth off slowly. (it is glued on, so you will have too glue it back in place.) roll the cloth down the speaker cabinet and there you go, you can now get too the drives! reinstall cloth and glue too cabinet with 3M 74 or 77 then put the top back on with the 4 screws. Is it some work yes, but is it hard no. You will never really have too take the cloth off because this speakers run forever! I have my DCM 10.0's and 6.0's from 1996 to now 2012! I had one problem last year with the 10.0 the Blue circuit breaker went so I put on a new one and they are go too go for 20 more years! This speakers had a 5year warranty new and they work way passed that. The fuses and circuit breakers you can get from PartsExpress.com. The DCM TFv line is better then most speakers today, so if you are lucky and can find one buy it and give it a try! Models of TFv 6.0,8.0 and flagship 10.0. |

I bought these locally 3 years ago on eBay for a good price (can't remember what I paid) and picked them up in Chicago. I figured I would listen to them for a while and trade them for something else if wern't moved by them. I still have them, love the sound, look great, surprizing bass. Great speakers! All that the other reviews state are true and then some.

Strength:
rock is good, clean and punchy
Weakness:
if there is a weakness its too much bass but that can be taken care of with the receiver bass knob or a basic EQ unit

Strength:
Extreme nice midrange, and incredible good soundstage. The sound is very well-balanced.
Weakness:
There is no real weakness. The only thing i can think off is the fact they don't have be-wire capability's. Very nice speakers. They sound very spacey, and cristal clear. Low frequenties are very well controlled, and very deep too. Where these speakers really prove to be top of the line, is in the midrange. I never heard speakers before wich sounded as clear, and narural as the Timeframes V6.0 in the midrange area. Everyone has his own opinion, but I think they look great! Similar Products Used: *Infinity pos 1 (or something like that, an older model) *DCM timeframe V8.0 (the bigger version; 8inch woofers in stead of 6inch. They don't sound that much different) *B&W DM 110 (No way near the DCM's. They kost not even half the money.. hehe ) I've heard dome other newer models of B&W, Mission, KEF and JBL, but they didn't sound as good as the DCM's. |

These speakers are excellent and quite affordable. Overall construction is very good, weighing in at 40 lbs. The look of the speaker is different from many traditional designs, because the grill wraps around the whole speaker. It also contains 1 6" driver for bass, 1 6" driver for the midrange, 1 3/4" front firing main tweeter, and two 3/4" ambient field tweeters in the back of the speaker. Frequency response is 35Hz-20,000khz. Sound quality is smooth and relaxing, with excellent imaging, enhancing channel separation. These speakers match well with a subwoofer, especially the DCM-712. If you buy these speakers, you won't regret it. |

I have had these speakers for 5 years now. They never fail to impress me, especially at the $650./pair price tag. I use them for music and HT. The imaging/staging is really quite extraordinary. I use them with a velodyne 12" sub. Absolutely stunning. If this is your budget range, or even if you were shooting higher up, do yourself a favor and give these a listen first, you won't regret it! |

Bought a pair of TF6.0's back when they were called TF600, have had them almost 6 years. I am totaly pleased with them. When I bought them, I was comparing them to a pair of B&W 803 speakers costing almost three times the price of the TF600's. In every way the TF600's out performed the B&W's. Soundstage was by far deeper and, you could hear a true vocal depth, no chestiness. The B&W's put forth a real honk to male voices, depth of the music was also shallow compared to the TF600"s. Use them in a Home theater as well as two channel music. Paired them with the OW-2 surround speakers also from DCM and, center channel duties are performed by a Polk Audio CS 400, it had a little more response then the DCM center had and, it matches very well with the DCM's. Using a Velodyne VA-1250X subwoofer, aother steal at $750. Before spending a lot more money for far less, give the DCM TF6.0's a listen, you will not be disapointed. |

I bought these six years ago when they were called Time Frame 600's. They are the best in the 500-1,000 dollar range. Over the last year or so, I have been looking at other speakers to upgrade to. Haven't found anything yet that sounds as good at the 1,000 dollar price range. Guess I'll hang on to these for another six years! |
