Strength:
Oustanding HT speaker when configured properly and given the right amount power and space..
Weakness:
Little echoey on some music..great on salsa, jazz, and classical though. Have to try and wipeout the last silly review of someone again wishes that he had these giants. Stick to AIwa at CC and Best Buy friend. Hard to setup at first but worth it. Great for both music and HT regardless to what people say. You really have to have them setup in the right room (yours) to see what they really like..not in the showroom where they are not config. properly at all. Not a bad value although rather large and heavy. Not for everyone. Will surely hit you in the chest hard! Similar Products Used: Hales Rev 5, NHT VT 3, Polk RT 3000 |

This speaker defines strength
Weakness:
The structure of my house These speakers are the standard for dynamic home theater and music reproduction, pretty much price independant. They are not for everyone; those that like laid back or dark sounding speakers should not apply. Those that don't care to have earth moving bass should also consider something else. Those that want concert level performance should investigate them. As Tim (the previous reviewer) said, reviewing them at an audio store is futile. They need to be properly setup, in your listening environment, and require at least 100 hours of break in. Also as Tim eluded to, comparing them to something from AIWA shows immaturity with systems at this level. Driving them with AIWA stuff is like putting an old VW bug engine in a BMW Z8. Please discount that review as pretty much meaningless. Worth every penny considering price/performance and its competition. Well done by Definitive.
