Strength:
Strengths......bass. Bass is plentiful, at the 10:30 to 12 o'clock position of the woofers volume knob at the rear of the speaker, is for me, ENOUGH! I'm not a fan of bass shy speakers. Whether its Steely Dan or Alan Jackson to Pink Floyd or Muddy Waters these speakers don't disappoint. I've noticed the more power you throw at them the better and better they sound. Remember the bp8060st like I own candle up to, 300 watts RMS. Most folks AVR's or separate amps don't push out that kind of wattage. If you can afford quality amplifiers that put out 1000 watts per channel, then you wouldn't be shopping for speakers in this price range. I think these Def Techs are a nice jump into budget audiophile speakers. Weakness:
Weaknesses......My listening position is 13 feet away from the speakers. So I think they are just a bit more difficult to hear "subtle nuances" in music, at low listening volumes. But that's distance related not performance related. Also, weight. Just moving these around for 'toe in' or back wall distances can get tedious, especially if using the rubber footed out rigger feet. I use them on my hardwood floors. They are the heaviest 54lbs I've moved! Price Paid: 975.00

Strength:
Very powerful in the bass, excellent integration of mids and highs, fluid all through the range.Aesthetically handsome speaker. Despite what others say i see no need for a stand alone sub with the correct setup with these speakers,I find these respond very well to my Pioneer Elite receiver, very articulate, warm, deliver with authority. Weakness:
Have nothing negative yet Price Paid: 500
