Strength:
I haven't found anything they can't do well.
Weakness:
The only weakness I found was in my arms and back when I had to flip the speakers end over end (strongman tire flip style) into position. You definitely should have a dolly for these. I've had these for a while now and they still impress me with their large soundstage and bass reproduction. I recently went to Las Vegas and saw the Blue Man Group for the first time. While the show itself was a little disappointing I did pick up the rock concert DVD (2 channel stereo/dolby surround)as a memento. I'm not sure of the track title but track 2 has a section that is entirely composed of drums. I wish I could explain how tight the bass section of the BP7000SCs are, and how powerful. I have the dial only up to about 1/3 on the subwoofer section. This track literally shakes the house but never loses control. Watching movies is a whole new experience. The wave crashes and shell casings leaving the weapons being fired in Saving Private Ryan take on a whole new sense of realism. I have played a wide variety of music on my system, including stuff that I would never have played before (friends have weird tastes), but all have agreed they could hear nuances they couldn't hear before. If you like bipolar sound I can't recommend these highly enough. Similar Products Used: Magnepan, B&W, Energy, Klipsch, Polk, Monitor Audio, Martin Logan |
