Strength:

Imaging, incredible soundstage, very musical, terrific bass reproduction.

Weakness:

Size, if you don't have a large room. Need proper placement but even if not perfect, tremendous sound!

I am still overwhelmed by the sound they provide. Out of the box (huge shipping boxes) they sounded great. As I burned in new interconnects (Nordost SPM and Nordost Quatro Fil) between EAD Ultradisc 2000 CD player, EAD Ovation pre-amp and EAD Powermaster 2000 amplifier, the sound became even more beautiful...and with all types of music. I realize these words are often overused, but I found out what "imgaging", great "soundstage" and "detail," really meant. These mammoths truly "disappear." My former speakers were terrific but these are in a league of their own. I auditioned many high end speakers in the range of $15 grand-plus but these outperformed many three to four times the price. In my home they sound even better. Also, instead of the standard finishes, I chose the exotic Kevazinga wood finish for these big guys. (They'll complement your furniture if spousal approval or decor is in question.)

Strength:

Truthful reproduction, flawless integration.

Weakness:

Size. Ultra low bass.

I've been living with the SC-V for about 6 months now
and have never regretted them.

Although my room is not ideal, boxy, harsh, lotsa
windows etc, the speaker still take control and
deliver beautiful sound over the entire spectrum.

They are so neutral that I think they make a great
basis to build a system around. Changes in cables and
components can easily be heard. The speakers deliver
what is given to them by the rest of your system.
The can move so much air and are so focused that
many room effects are minimized AT the focal point.

There are only a couple of complaints.
1) Box design and finish quality is acceptable but
not the height of style.
2) Binding posts should not be recessed. Hard to connect
some large spades.
3) Very directional.
4) Low WAF.

They do like lots of current and I have run them with
Spectral a DMA-180 and with a Pass X-350 amp (each with
different advantages).
