This is somewhat of a moot point now that Eosone is going out of business as of 1/1/99, but just in case you still find them price slashed. I bought the bookshelf Eosone 200s last year. Paired with a sub, they sounded great. I went and bought the 600's with the price drop. When I got them home and did an A/B comparison with the 200's, I was incredibly disappointed. The 200's sounded better on 9 out of 10 discs of varying music. The midrange was virtually absent and the bass was boomy and muffled. I took them back immediately. Maybe that's why they're going OOB. Polk will be servicing their speakers for warranty work I hear. |

It is sad, but the Eosone is going Out Of Business. Sad for them. I work at Best Buy and I can get a set of 600's for about $300 for the pair. Wow. Make no assumptions, these are high-end speakers. I am not an audiophile, but I know what sounds good, and the 600's sound great. I am not interestested in spending $1000's for speakers, and bad mouthing the 600's is a mistake, they are a great compromise between price and quality. Most of us call that a vaule, other more errogent call it unacceptable. Fine, but Mr. Nudell knows his speakers and did a fantasic job with them. There are a bit on the bassy side on the mid lows, but overall, my untrained ear rates them a high four. |

I am back to tell everyone after spending countless hours searching for a new receiver I have settled on a Nakamichi AV10. This reveiver makes the Eosone speakers sound incredible. This is a match made in heaven. I highly recommend this receiver to anyone. I now hear music from my CDs which I never heard before. |

I got a wonderfull deal on my eosone rsf600's. For those of you that have a pair, you will never believe me. I first saw them at Best Buy. I always wanted them, because they are great speakers. I got 2 speakers for $289. The only other speakers that sound better are the rsf1000's. |

Strength:
sounds great , cranks up really loud , looks impressive , well built.
Weakness:
does not sound good on certain music ( prince , most 80's pop) Paid about $700 for the pair With a 9 year warranty. The Infinity and Paradigm speakers I own don't sound as good. In home theatre useage they can't be beat. Stereo placement was somewhat critical. I run these as my main pair ( with the small speaker setting selected on my Yamaha rx 973 ) with a Paradigm pdr-12 sub. I listen to a lot of metal and the only speaker that would be better is Klipch. I know everyone knocks mass market but sometimes there are good products out there ( the Eosones are the only mass market product in my system. the rest is all from a local high end audio dealer)so if you can find a pair , try them and see for yourself. Similar Products Used: paradigm and infinity |

Strength:
Clean & bright home-theatre presence. Di-polar configuration adds ambience.
Weakness:
Low-end bass reproduction, crank-it-up oomph. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with these speakers. The cabinet is constructed of extremely high-quality materials, and still looks new, despite being moved several times. These speakers sound very good with acoustic guitar, classical, and vocal music. They disappoint me when I want to crank up some good old rock and roll, although a good subwoofer goes a long way to complement them. |

These speakers are generally quite good. They provide a deep, rich bass and a crisp treble. The mid-range however is somewhat lacking -- it's too overpowered by the highs and lows. Additionally, the speakers tend to be a bit brighter than I might like. For $1000, there are better speakers on the market. For a mass-market brand (the Eosones are only available at Best Buy), though, these are quite good. |

Strength:
great looks and sound quality
Weakness:
none I purshased these speakers at closeout for $539/Best Buy. I also have the matching center and surrounds. I first wanted to buy speakers for first and foremost sound quality and reproduction but also a little flair in the appearance that stood apart from others. Not only these look great but sound excellant. I use these for all sources:dvd, pro logic, straight stereo. Matching these up with my Yamaha 1103 was perfect. I live in a middle townhome, and though the builder said that I wouldn't be able to bother the neighbors, I wanted to purchase towers that will satisfy my bass but not having the need to purchase a separate sub. It is a shame that Eosone went out of business, I think that marketing them in Best Buy/Crutchfield may have been a mistake...who knows. Anyway, thest blow away most infinity, jbl, ar, nht's out there. |
